A Little About Me

Well here goes!  I finally decided it was time for me to learn how to use a computer.  Better late than never I thought.  You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.  JUST WATCH ME is my motto!

My next step was to ask my computer whiz son to put one together for me, or borrow an old one of his.  In a few weeks he brought one over loaded with all kinds of software.  I went out and bought an inexpensive printer and received a scanner for Christmas and card making software for my birthday.

Now what!  How do you turn this thing on?  I had all kinds of questions.  My poor son was very patient, but I could tell by the deep sigh I heard when I called, his patience was waning.  So I put it to him this way.  Is there anything I can hurt by just clicking the mouse and see how things work?  He said "no"!  I guess he figured he could fix it if I did screw it up.  I have been off and running ever since.

I love making my own cards, letterhead and business cards; I also design name badges, newsletters, and brochures.  My expertise is working with photos, enhancing old pictures, tinting black & white photos, merging pictures together etc.?  What fun! There should be a start of a business here somewhere.

Now it is time for something new.  I wanted to do a web site.  So guess who I called?  "Son", I said, "I want to do a web site".  GROAN, I heard.  "Mom, that`s way over your head."  That was all I needed to hear.  I said,  "JUST WATCH ME"!  I have to admit those books for DUMMIES are not so bad.

Look for the next installment of my detective work on the web, looking for missing classmates.  Any Detective Agency out there need someone to disguise themselves as a little old lady for a stake-out?  I am available.  OH HECK!  I am a little old lady and proud of it.
