Afterglow
I`d like the
memory of me
To be a happy one.
I`d like to leave an afterglow,
Of smiles when life is done.
I`d like to leave an echo
Whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright and sunny days.
I`d like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
Go
With God
God saw
you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He closed His arms around you
And whispered, "Come with Me".
You didn`t deserve what you went through
And so He gave you rest.
God`s garden must be beautiful;
He only takes the best.
And when I saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain,
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
And now I know you`re in His hands
Where all angles are meant to be
Your memory will last forever
In the heart and soul of me!
Forever and ever,
Margie
