Picnic News

To everyone who was able to attend our 2nd annual 2004 Potluck Picnic the committee extends a special, "Thank You", for all your help and participation in the events.   Someone at the table commented how nice it was to partake in some good old American food for a change, another said, "I guess you have to go to an old fashioned potluck for that!"  Right On!
We met at the same Founder`s Hall, Des Moines Marina, as last year.  Approximately 50 alumni and guests attended with two classmates surprising us by just walking in saying, "Hi!"  David House and Carol Pugh Garitty got quite a kick out of doing that.  Marialee Parisio Brewer was also able to attend for the first time.
This year we had a real purpose to our Potluck Picnic, an Auction for our special friends and classmates Jean and Chuck Clingan.  As most of you know their son Bob has been very ill for sometime.  With Bob`s wife Jane passing away unexpectedly, leaving two small sons the week before our picnic, we wanted to do all we could to help.  Our auctioneers Arnie Hatch and Harry Williams did an exceptional job revving up the audience with their gift of gab!  A generous sum of money was presented to the family soon afterward.
everyone for your generosity and prayers for the "Clingan Family."

See all you Old Pirates next year....Keep in touch......Check the `52 web site for news..........And most of all " God Bless!"

* As of  Sept. 30, 2004 the Enumclaw Bank "Clingan Fund" has been closed and a check has been delivered.  Those who would still like to make a donation may do so directly to Chuck & Jean. Thank You again for your generosity.................
